Grandma how do you deal with pain?

With your hands, dear.

When you do it with your mind, the pain hardens even more.

With your hands, grandma?

"Yes, yes. Our hands are the antennas of our Soul.

When you move them by sewing, cooking, painting, touching the earth or sinking them into the earth, they send signals of caring to the deepest part of you and your Soul calms down.

This way she doesn't have to send pain anymore to show it.

"Are hands really that important?"

"Yes my girl. Think of babies: they get to know the world thanks to their touch.

When you look at the hands of older people, they tell more about their lives than any other part of the body.

Everything that is made by hand, so it is said, is made with the heart

because it really is like this: hands and heart are connected.

Think of lovers: When their hands touch, they love each other in the most sublime way."

My hands grandma... how long since I used them like that!

Move them my love, start creating with them and everything in you will move.

The pain will not pass away. But it will be the best masterpiece.

And it won't hurt as much anymore,

because you managed to embroider your Essence

The soul of my work

This story is the very crux of my work.

To play a part in shifting trauma stories into transformation stories through art and practices that can help us align to the force of creation.

Our baggage can either weigh us down or be released to find the potential it has been hiding within.

About

The retreat is about engaging in certain practices and tools necessary for the process of creation.
It is also about creating the space through these practices to process life.

I believe that the only way we can create anything is by tapping into the source of creation itself.

To tap into this force of creation, there are certain practices that can align us to it. They are everyday life practices that I share through this retreat.

This retreat is not only for artists. It is for anyone who feels the need to engage in certain practices that can help tap into their potential.

Be it individuals, groups, artistic productions, company enhancement processes, the idea is to tap into the highest potential and vision of a project, a person, a company, a community, a concept, a story and allow that vision to speak itself through our work of art and life alike.

A glimpse at how we do this -

  • Observing and enhancing our relationship with our senses

  • Listening to our emotional body

  • Meditating to align with the essence of our work.

  • Setting intentions

  • Intuitive writing as a tool for introspection

  • Tools for self inquiry to understand our blocks if any

  • Engaging in an art form of your choice to allow the flow of expression

  • Movement as a tool for listening to the innerself and releasing anything that holds us back

  • Silence

"Many of us step foot on the path to spiritual enlightenment expecting it to lead us onward and upward, hoping to become something better than we are, and ready to gather all of the important things we need along the way. What a surprise it is when we eventually realize that this path is not taking us onward but inward, that we are not gathering things so much as letting them go, and that there was never anything more to aspire to than the truth of what we already are"
